Now what?

We just got back from our family trip to Hawaii. Leaving a vacation and trying to get back into your old routine is never fun. I think that the bad thing about Hawaii is how quickly time flys there. Instead of going into my list of complaints about Utah in February, I will just upload some memories and happy thoughts. As a mom that grew up in Hawaii there is something about my kids playing without shoes on, sleeping on a towel on the beach, and climbing trees that really feels like love and childhood. I was a happy mom in the Hawaiian tradewinds.
Is this what heaven looks like? I think so.
I think Eden liked the taste of salt and sunscreen because she never stopped sucking on her or my hand.
Taj forgot about snowcones really quickly. Saying we were going to get shave ice became the great motivator.
We got a similar shot of micah holding Taj and a surfboard a couple years ago when Taj was that little. Nothing like a Dad taking his family to the beach.
The first night back in Utah Taj asked me if we could go back to our Hawaii house. All I could think was how homesick I was too.

I'm sorry that you had to go back to the cold. We should plan a trip to Hawaii at the same time so we can hang out. That would be super fun. Your family is so cute. It looks and sounds like you guys had a lot of fun in Hawaii. Did you surf Castles?

awww. if you want you can just ship taj out and we will take him in for a while. everytime we go to the beach velzy goes "taj" "chips" what a great combo.
so can i talk to micah's parents and try to persuade them to move back out here with you guys in tow? i'll do it.

As soon as possible... do you have an excuse for me? How about we do a cheap ticket watch and if either of us find a good price than we'll give each other the word and take off.

Yes Kaity, I did go to Castles to try and get my confidence back up. I also had some fun at Puena's, Piddlies, Pupukea's, and V-land with just Micah and I. What was the spot you featured on your blog... looked so fun?

It's hard for me to imagine letting Amaya grow up anywhere else. I hope that we won't have to! We miss you guys-- it's fun to have cousins to play with.
