The Update

We plan to use this blog to (suprise...) keep our friends and family up to date with what we have been up to recently.

Here's a quick review of what has happened for those we haven't talked to in a while:

September 2005:











We had our son! Taj Aukai Smith was born in Kahuku, Hawaii on September 15. 7 lbs. 10 oz. Happy, healthy and pretty mellow. We love what he brings to our family and his little personality.



January 2006:


Micah graduated from BYU-Hawaii and we decided to follow his parents to Cedar Hills, UT so that Micah could work with his dad in the family business. We originally moved into a house that Micah's parents were holding on to but not living in.















June-August 2006:


We decided to go ahead and take the plunge into home ownership and purchased a home in Micah's parents' neighborhood. It is perfect for our family; nice, big backyard with a view of the mountains and a big basement (just like every other house in Utah).


October 2007:

We were lucky enough to have a healthy little girl. Eden Waimea Smith was born October 4. 7 lbs. 12 oz. She came with a full head of hair and some good lungs. I still can't believe there are two miniature people that depend on us for everything. Poor kids.


Aaaand that brings us to the present. We don't mind Utah life so far. Plenty of things to do and some beautiful scenery. Don't be mistaken, we would trade these snowy hills for Hawaii in a heartbeat. We are just being patient and trying to enjoy the here and now.
